Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.
Hello. I believe South Vallejo has become the dump site of Northern Calif. How do these traveling Nomads know where to dump their contaminated trash?? Is it possible to have a weekly clean up on the Fifth St address, Winchester St.,the railroad tracks and Derr St.?? I've noticed that if those area are being cleaned up quickly, in about a month, the garbage isn't as large or the garbage stops at thoset locations. It's like an invisible territorial line is drawn once the clean up is regular---it's a solution to discourage this increase of public dumping. We need more dumpsters around South Vallejo, and often. We wouldn't have so much trash thrown into South Vallejo neighborhoods.
