I have seen this same issue many times over many years. Utility work is done for a resident and there is no follow-up or communication by the utility company to repair the damage they made. They seem to think throwing down some asphalt is sufficient, whether it be a concrete,brick,or cobblestone sidewalk. I have walked by asphalt patch-jobs by utility companies for literally YEARS without the sidewalk being repaired to its original surface. The residents seem to be the only follow-up communication to finish the repair. VERY frustrating!
