A watch area was recently made for First Selectwoman Gorski and for Public Works Director Al Green. They are both interested using SeeClickFix to keep in touch with what's going on in the community. Due to technical issues with SeeClickFix and through no fault of the Bethany Town Government, these watch areas were made very recently. Please don't get the impression that they have been following this thread since the beginning but remained unresponsive. They will be receiving any posts and comments in the future, so we ask that you do your best to keep the comments positive and constructive.
Thanks again for working with us to help make your community a better place!
No this Dump Site at end end of Bethmour Road has not been clean up and the Pot Holes are growing every day. What a mess. Town Hall Leaders
take some action, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe a local newspaper should do a article and photo's of the site for the Memorial day parade.
If this can happen next to a School and Town Hall it can happen, anywhere in Bethany.
As stated in Derrylyn Gorski’s initial reply, all of the items have been relocated to the rear of the greenhouse, except the white plastic-wrapped bagged soil, and the stockpile of discarded debris has been removed. There is a small pile of compost located closer to Bethmour Road. This will be spread in the same vicinity when the weather cools to decrease any unpleasant odor. This case is officially closed. Regarding the potholes . . . Approximately 200 - 300 feet of Bethmour Road will be dug up and re-paved between Luke Hill Road and Peck Road this coming Fall, after the public works crew completed the Wooding Hill Road paving project.
If this area is called a farm and get's to pay very low taxes. Why does it look like a PIG PEN.
I have lived on Luke Hill Road for 40 years and never have I seen such a lack of care in Bethany.
On Tuesday I was almost hit by a 18 wheeler truck going to this site, when will the town leaders do somthing about this problem and stop sweeping it under the rug. We home owners who live here have rights to, not this so called "farm" which I believe is a busness that should not be next to a school and homes with wells.
We voters who live with this problem what action not just talk!!
It's great to see SeeClickFix being used in the town of Bethany! We think constructive conversation is good, especially when it's directed towards the identification, prioritization, and ultimate resolution of reported issues. That's why it's important to move the conversation forward as opposed to backwards. As a website designed to publicly address community issues, SeeClickFix would also like to emphasize the importance of respect and honesty on this forum. Unfortunately, there has been some abuse of the system on this issue, i.e. people posting under different identities, and it will be archived. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot an email to contact @ seeclickfix.com
