The speed limit drops to 55 going through the town of Gurley- but you rarely see anyone doing it. Including 18 wheelers.

A stop light anywhere on 72E in the town of Gurley would make people slow down. 72E and 3rd street and 72E and the Dollar General are 2 other intersections that are dangerous and several accidents have happened.

YES!! Anywhere in the Gurley area would be great. People use the dollar general parking lot as an access road to Little Cove from the HWY- and with the Hardees traffic- that is becoming very dangerous. I called the old mayor a few years ago about a traffic light. He said that the city of Gurley would have to pay for the install and maintenance for the light, plus buy a special truck to reach the light for maintenance. He said that with all the impending law suits on the city- Gurley would never get a traffic light. But with it being a state road, wouldn't the state pay for it??

There has been several car accidents (at least 3 that I know of that were fatalities) since this was last addressed. This needs to be done because no one pays attention to the speed change. I Gurley PD has stepped up a little with their patrol and actually stopping speeders. All the small towns around here have at least 1 stoplight which makes people slow down. Someone, whether it is Gurley or state, needs to help this community.

The Town of Gurley does not use SeeClickFix software, unfortunately.
