Description

The storm drain for this area of the street is located in a useless spot. The low point of two hills (behind my house and from up the street) intersect in front of my driveway. A small amount of rain or snow causes a large puddle to form where my driveway meets the street. A large amount of rain or snow causes a small pond to form. This area takes days to drain and for the ice to melt. Two people have already slipped on the ice on the sidewalk where this pond forms. I've never seen anything like it anywhere else. I have informed the City and I'm told that it is "on the list". I would like the storm drain moved or added to beside the end of my driveway to catch the storm water when it runs down Seneca Road before it reaches my driveway. The present storm drain is at the end of Seneca at a high point of the terrain and is of no use. The attached picture is after only a very slight amount of rain.
