This curve needs a yellow flashing light for people to slow down.People speed along this road and take this elbow curve too fast! There is at least one accident a month here and at the following elbow curve on same road.
It's a 90 degree sharp turn. There are warning signs. People ignore them and rip around the corner. People need to learn how to drive. Do you really want your tax dollars to go to flashing lights? Even if you put up a sign the size of a billboard, it wouldn't make a difference. People know the road curves sharply, they just choose to be ignorant. Why not lower the speed limit. The road is congested, the park, the school. And it's busy. It doesn't cost nearly as much to change the speed limit, but people still will speed.
After being in an accident at the curve near Sycamore on January 12,2012. I really think they need to make this road a little straighter. Maybe take some of Knapp schools yard away & make it less of a curve. I always go around those bends at 15 miles per hour. That night the guy who hit me was coming too fast. PLEASE do something before someone gets killed. Nobody even stopped to help me . I am leary to drive Knapp Road now because of all the accidents that have happened there. I was the 3rd accident that night & my van was totaled.
