the signs could be a little bigger when approaching Willowick Dr via Vine St warning westbound drivers that the left lane is a turning lane ONLY. I travel that route more than twice a day and have been ALMOST sideswiped numerous times by people that are unfamiliar with the area, don't read signs, didn't see signs until it was too late, or the most popular...ignorant/aggressive drivers who try to merge at the last minute just trying to be first.

I think the signs are just fine the way they are - It's the drivers that are the problem! You're right - the biggest problem is the 'ignorant/aggressive driver' followed closely by those that don't bother to read the signs. Let's face it - if you accidentally got into the turning lane, make the turn then go down a block to St. Mary's parking lot and turn around! It's not that difficult a concept! Maybe what we really need is a police officer permanently stationed at that corner.

This is a very dangerous problem. Yesterday I was headed eastbound on Vine St. and was almost hit head on by a speeding driver that was in that turning lane going straight. This has been a problem for so long, I highly doubt the city or police are going to do anything about it because, if they were, it would already be done!! If I do get hit head on, I'm thinking.....lawsuit!!

Not to say that ignorant driving isn't part of the problem, but I do think that better signage could definitely help make this area safer for everyone

I've seen Eastlake police ticketing at that intersection before.

Eastlake Police had better not be ticketing that intersection. The intersection is in Willowick. If you've gotten a ticket there from Eastlake Police, I would have to think you could fight it!
What I would like to see is a Willowick Police officer sitting at that corner every day during afternoon rush hour. The city could make a fortune!

There are 7 regulation signs informing people of the turning lane.

There used to be signs on top of the traffic lights before they installed new ones. I think the service dept should put them back up. They'd be easier to see as you're approaching the intersection.
