There should be green directional arrows on the north and south side of the traffic light to allow drivers to turn left and the directional light on the east and west side should be interchanging.
There should be a directional light on that corner. To the gentleman who said there is not enough traffic to garner it: you simply must not live on this street, because every morning i have to turn down onto Middleburg from Oakwood and a light would be very helpful to me. I end up sitting in traffic for a time, not a huge time, but enough, and usually have to pull into the intersection and wait for the light to turn red on traffic going up Oakwood and go quick before traffic entering the park. If there were more than one person who had to make that turn at a time (which I'm sure happens), it would be quite dangerous. Also, when you are coming down the hill on Middleburg and have to make a left onto Oakwood, you cannot see down that hill to see if any cars are coming, you pretty much have to crane your neck and hope, so a directional light there would not be a waste. I, for one, would appreciate it.
I have lived on Oakwood Avenue for the last 13 years and have lost count as to how may accidents have occurred at this intersection. The most recent accident happened on Friday, December 2, 2010. It's time for the City of Troy to wake up and change the traffic light. It's not rocket science, but I guess they need for someone to get killed first!!!!!!

I think we should get rid of this traffic light altogether. There isn't enough traffic entering Oakwood ave to even warrant a light here.
Why don't we put a light at st marys hospital entrance off oakwood, sausse ave, archibald and ingalls too? LOL!
They all have the same amount of traffic entering oakwood ave.
