Can someone work on addressing the issue of the Connelly Bridge. Its such an eye sore. Not to mention the fact that cars heading south have to vere into the north lane to avoid hitting all the potholes and getting yanked tords the side of the bridge. A few years ago i contacted the NYS Bridge Auth. They told me that the brigde is one of theirs. Another note, if you were to walk under that bridge and look up. You can see massive sections of concrete missing. The city is apending all this money to redo the Rondout area,Lighting,Walkway,Docks. Whats going to happen when a piece of that bridge falls on a car or worse yet someone!!!! Can somebody look into this issue finally!

Hello,
Thanks for posting.
Please take a look at this link...

Taking part and speaking up about these types of issues are a sure fire way to make your voice and concerns heard.
Bringing this issue up to you local elected officials is another great way. As I'm learning myself, the people in place who are there to help us can't if they don't know the problem.
Useing SeeClickFix is a great first step, but take some time and contect your elected officials, speak with people at cityhall, and play an active role in your wards functions, and attend ward / ciy meeting when ever possible.
Now, I'm not sure if the bridge is part of the city or county or state, but from what I can see, it's in ward 8.
Your Ward 8 Alderman is Robert Senor. His email is .. ward8@ci.kingston.ny.us
Thanks for posting

And do notice, on that link, what happens if you change the month to May... see what meetings are planned for May.
When we write to our alderman, we might point that out...
And when you're at the meeting, you might note the sound system and the way the public speaking session is controlled...

The bridge has a Wikipedia page.
I'm not kidding, and no, I didn't create or contribute to it.
Check it out. Whoever is maintaining that page is giving great information on the maintenance schedule of the bridge.
