FEEDBACK ?????? Does anyone check what the plows are doing?

I could not agree more. I live on Cottage St and the plows made absolutely no effort to push any of the snow off of our street. Instead they just pushed it all to the side and towards the even side of the street and plowed in all the cars who abided by the parking ban. However, they plowed all the snow away from the odd side of the street where parking was banned so that side of the street is nicely cleared and the cars who did not follow the ban are being rewarded for breaking the ban by having way way less snow to shovel to get their cars out. Their cars should have been towed but instead they have 1/4 as much snow to shovel as those of us who followed the ban. My elderly neighbors had their driveway completely blocked by snow. It would have been just as easy for the plows to push the snow to the other side and would have made our lives infinitely easier. Do the plow drivers think it's funny to plow cars in or something?

It's egregious at best - I have friends in other parts of the country that have plenty of snow and they don't experience anything like this.

My ride to work just across town is quite the picture of how this city works:

East Rock -half-hearted plowing
Prospect Hill- clear, clean streets from curb to curb
Newhallville- plow? What plow?

What's supposed to happen is that the odd-numbered side gets plowed clear to the curb, widening the road and freeing up those parking places. In the process, of course, all the driveways get repeatedly blocked. Life in a New England city!

We are closing older snow issues in order to get ready for winter season 2017 -2018. We reviewed snow issues from SCF along with our field notes and adjusted where we can. Thanks for reporting and helping us plan for this coming season.
