i can't imagine that i would ever wait there the length of time it would take to get out turning left...i've lived in this area on and off since 1994 and have never once tried turning left there...it would be a waste of a lot of time (5 minutes or longer) or i would get in an accident. guaranteed.
Basically, there is already a light at Moravian, Little Road is too close to put a light there. However, maybe there could be something like a left turn arrow from Little Rd. , when Cass traffic is stopped at Moravian. Something that the east bound Cass traffic has to stop at Little or something like that. It is such a busy area, I wouldn't try left turning onto Cass either. Its way to dangerous.
I agree. I have lived on Moravian for over 50 years, and it has alway been a issue. But now with the amount of traffic it's a nightmare. How many accidents with a few deaths before its fixed...
I'm all in favor for putting a NO left turn sign at Little onto Cass. The people who do this create havoc during busy times on Cass and there've been way too many accidents to justify the need, especially now that Cass is 5 lanes. It may be a slight inconvenience but ruling with "safety first", just drive over to Dunham then to Elizabeth or Rose, and take that to Groesbeck. You're looking at maybe 3 minutes extra time, tops. What's more worth it - the 3 minutes or thousands in auto repairs and lawsuits after the wreck you caused turning left at Little?
I agree that it is impossible at certain times of the day, but we bicycle and make left turns there around 708 pm with just a bit of a wait. Why put a light so close to the one on Moravian? As another person wrote, take a few minutes and head out via Dunham. It's safer at rush hour, but you don't need a light there most of the time.
