I agree. It is increasingly distressing to drive past that stretch. Also, that one under the freeway up at 35th - 36th Street: they even graffitied a giant sign-name on the wall there for their "village". Beyond the tents, it's the filth, garbage, and debris they accumulate. It's out of control : that is a super health hazard and it's disgusting that city officials allow these type of sites to proliferate. They destroy the comfort and enjoyment of our neighborhoods. It's like the mental health cases and drug addicts are treated with kid gloves, while the law-abiding, working, responsible, tax-paying residents are chopped liver. It's sad that these people have no place to live, but it doesn't excuse filth, piles of garbage, piles of debris, Public Nuisance, Blight, etc. If any property owner even had 1/10th that amount of blight on their property, there would be a Code Inspector sent out by the City to cite such unacceptable stuff.
