Description
The sidewalk between the east and west lanes in the 600 block of 25th street is so low that when there is even a little rain it is flooded and cannot be used to cross the street. This poses a real safety hazard for pedestrians and is heavily traveled because it is the block used by buses and parents dropping off and picking up students at VB MIddle School. To cross these lanes you must step out into traffic on Mediterranean Avenue and it is dangerous. About a year ago the city filled in potholes created by the buses turning onto the grass but the flooding of the sidewalk continues. I would sure appreciate your attention to this issue. Thank you.

Good Morning,
Thank you for your concern in this matter, but this flooding issue has been taken over by a private contractor. Work is in progress as we speak and traffic control is in place for safety precautions. With that being said the City of Virginia Beach has resolved the issue on our end.
Thank you,
Public Works/Operations
