Despite a reassuring email on March 17 from Anthony Greene, Hamden's tree warden, that the tree will be removed "weather permitting." I guess we are still waiting for the weather. Over a year now since the tree was posted for removal.

No change, but the Mayor as been in touch on Facebook asking if it has been inspected again. Answer: no, not since it was posted for removal in April 2016. It's even deader than it was before, alas.

The inspector came last week (9/21/17) after the Mayor and I had another round of emails, but I'm still waiting for action.

The town of Hamden took the tree down on Friday, October 13, 2017, the day after it was posted. Very grateful it's not longer a hazard, but miss its huge presence.
