Can the borough provide an update for this issue. Appears the hedge violates several parts of borough code section 124 including impairing vision of drivers and growing over a sidewalk. Thanks

Thank you for the concern. In reference to 4-way stop signs (legal ones, anyway) or other signage, it can only be implemented and erected with either a emergency safety concern, i.e., numerous traffic accidents, and history thereof, and/or a borough ordinance/state criteria . The signs (Stop/Speed) being enacted usually follows a lengthy traffic study. In this case there is very little traffic coming east off Price. Also, there hasn't been any recent collisions that would warrant a study. What I'll do is contact the homeowner, (who I've known since he was a youngster) and ask if he'd trim down the hedges - 1. their length over sidewalk, and 2. for better traffic view of vehicles coming south on Conway. in response to the complaint, today the homeowner arrived at headquarters advising me that his landscapers came over the weekend and trimmed back the hedges from the curb, leaving all pedestrians more room to walk down sidewalk, and help with visual check at intersection with oncoming traffic.
