Thank you for reporting your service request to the City of Huntsville. The City Arborist inspected this tree last week. The Arborists concluded that there is no reason to remove the tree at this time. The tree appears to be healthy and rooted in well. Landscape Management removed three trees from this area in May of 2016. This tree did not warrant removal then, and after a re-inspection nothing has changed. The tree is private property and may be removed by the owner at any time, however if this tree is removed more erosion is sure to happen. the tree is half dead, not sure how you can say 'healthy' and 'well rooted'. We will send you an updated picture in the spring when everything else has leaves.
