Pinellas County Utilities assigned this issue to St. Pete PROD integration

Looks like some topsoil (not fill dirt as required) was added near the meter still leaving a big gap where soil was not backfilled into the ditch. No sod yet, and the light topsoil is eroding away (possibly by the wind?). The County Stormwater Management staff should know how to maintain the ditch to reduce erosion since that is what their effort was advertised to be a few months ago when they removed a lot of the solid dirt from the ditch and then had some workers toss sod over the dirt. Unfortunately, when they broke the water supply line the dirt that was washed away was never replaced before the sod was thrown down.

Still waiting for tripping hazard to be resolved. No sod has been laid yet, and the light topsoil has eroded away (probably by the wind) leaving the meter edge exposed by more than 3 inches and thus a tripping hazard still exists. After I purchased my property in 2006 and had my home built the ditch was reconstructed, and a new sidewalk was installed, and new sod was laid. The recent swale maintenance program to re-establish the ditches does not match up to pictures I have of the work done in 2006. I look forward to this being corrected.

Also, I note that after the water line to my home was broken and repaired it was re-buried less than 6 to 8 inches from the bottom of the ditch. The next time swale maintenance is performed hopefully the county will recognize this and not break the supply line again.

Still need some fill dirt (not topsoil) added plus a sod patch near the meter where there is a big gap where soil was not backfilled into the ditch after the County Stormwater Management people removed a large portion of the dirt. When they broke the water supply line the dirt that was washed away was never replaced before the sod was thrown down. Now the meter box is a problem (too high to mow over and is a trip hazard). When the ditch was redone by my home builder 10 years ago I was careful to keep the ditch neatly cut, but now it is a problem! Please have someone contact me to get this repaired.
