This issue is true at many crossings in Miami Beach!!!

As of last night, the signal timing at Alton and 5th has NOT been changed! Reported again to MiamiDade311, refer to SR#17-10083844, and we'll see if anything happens this time.

Still no improvement for pedestrians at this intersection. FDOT refuses to address the concerns of local residents and chooses to over prioritize car traffic from the mainland. The low volume of car traffic making the left turn from SB Alton Rd can yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk like in other civilized intersections. But nope, FDOT can't be bothered to "delay" those drivers a second or two. It is crap like this that is making me leave Miami and Miami Beach. Constant disregard for the safety of anyone not driving or taking Uber is dragging this city down.
