Public works officials should access damaged caused by Hurricane Sandy from October 2012, which caused many street signs and other infrastructure to become damaged or changed from the way they were prior to the storm. This includes guardrail, debris/trees obstructing, traffic signals broken or malfunctioning, and other safety enhancements. Newmans Springs Road (Route 520) should be checked for any of the above issues. Even towards the shore, in Little Silver and Rumson, where is is called Rumson Road.
