I have seen the rats too. They are also by the Ferry building parking lot's bushes and running into the Parks greens where the children play.

Thanks for reporting! Staff are working closely with the Yacht Club as well as the Fish & Game to try to take care of this issue. Public Works Maintenance staff are meeting with a pest management agency about a non-poisonous control method. Due to the impact poison may have on secondary animals and the possible environmental hazard if the poison gets into the waterway, we are looking for long-term, non-poisonous options.
One of the major problems is citizens feeding the birds at the waterfront. If you see citizens feeding the wildlife, please discourage them from continuing to do so.
