This was more of a notification to inform our fellow neighborhood of Tukwila to be on the lookout so it doesn't happen to anyone else and to hopefully help prevent future crimes.

Is it possible that the homeless in the neighborhood are committing these crimes? There are several strange looking people in the near-by vicinity who are pushing childless strollers and shopping carts around. I have spotted them looking inside several cars.

I'm sorry, this is not a community bulletin board about such matters. Every posting is assigned to a city employee for follow up. It is possible the suspects are homeless or neighborhood kids or more "professional" criminals that were after particular items- we have to investigate to find out and the person reporting this incident didn't report it to us. If you see suspicious activity, call 911 immediately and have the police come out and investigate. You are never bothering the police by calling us! We're here for you and we want to investigate these crimes and hold the criminals accountable. However, that is very difficult unless you call us directly when it is happening.
