Q. Why is this a concern?
A. Heading west on St. Joseph and turning left onto Hamilton in the afternoon/evening. The left turn lane lines are usually ignored by the general public and are dangerous to those that follow them. The left lane is supposed to turn into the first three lanes and the second to the left lane turns into the far right lane that few people use. However, most people use the second to the left lane to turn into the right two lanes. I frequently almost get struck from people in the second to left lane turning to the second from the right lane by me following the rules on a daily basis and I can't blame them. I suggest changing the lines so that the left lane goes to the two left lanes and the second to the left lane goes to the two right lanes. I cannot speak for morning traffic patterns.

An Investigation has been conducted and has been determined that this should be handled by TOD-Pavement Markings Section.
OBSERVATIONS: A field investigation for faded left turn lane lines was conducted on 3/23/2017 at 11:55AM at One Way westbound St. Joseph Pkwy and One Way southbound Hamilton. The investigation found One Way westbound St. Joseph Pkwy intersecting One Way southbound Hamilton as a signalized intersection with a faded and worn dashed white chicken track left turn lane line in the field that needs to be renewed by the sign shop in order to improve traffic operation and driver awareness for this location. Requester notified by E-mail the findings for this investigation.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Sending this request with 1-photograph for reference to the paint shop to renew the faded chicken track dashed left turn lane line as indicated on photograph for (WB) St. Joseph Pkwy and Hamilton.
