Thank you for your concern. This issue has been received by our department. We will look into this issue further and resolve it accordingly.

This weed issue is rampant in N Amherst though more of an aesthetic issue than a hazard like this. No where else in town are weeds allowed to take off as in the centre strip leading to Pine and Meadow, in the core in front of chain link fencing, next to the bridge over Mill River etc. This year I personally weeded the triangle at the corner of Summer and Montague. and have previously weeded the center strip in order to make this gateway through an historic village center a more acceptable access to town.

North Amherst is an after thought for the town. I've been told some small company has taken responsibility for the center strip at the lights. But Pulpit Hill Rd is a hazard.

The issue is not closed for me. Although the fire hydrant has been cleared, the entire street is still dangerous because of vegetation hanging into the roadway and narrowing driving space so that two cars cannot pass each other without slowing down and going very slowly (especially when the bus comes by.

This issue has been reported and is on the mowing list. Highway crews are aware.
