Between the prime commuting hours of 7am and 8am, the traffic lights at the intersection of Maine Street in Derby and the Bridge that crosses over from Howe Street are insanely backed up. I sat at that light every day this week for no less than 15 minutes, just waiting to be able to turn. All of the people running through the lights and clogging up the intersection make it impossible to get through. Anyone who has ever driven through there during these hours will see how awful it is. If the traffic lights around that area were longer for certain directions, it would clear it up.
