The City of Dunwoody has received this issue, as service request #4585. Currently, we are working on this, please check back for status updates.

Site visits were conducted both during and after major rain events in an attempt to observe the described issue. No evidence was found to indicate stormwater overflows the curb in this area. There is no action for the City to take in regards to this request. Thank you for using SeeClickFix!

I had replaced all of the pinestraw behind the curb recently since most of it had wash away, which did cover some of the evidence. However, please see the creek side behind this curb area. There is significant erosion from water overflowing from the street and pouring over into the creek. Land has been eroding closer and closer to the road because of this. This occurs during the heaviest of rains, especially if any slightest debris has accumulated just before the storm drain, restricting flow in this shallow curb area.

Site visits were made on multiple occasions, both before and after new pinestraw was installed behind the curb. The erosion on the stream bank side closest to the road was observed during these visits and appears to be caused by the flow within the channel itself. Installation of rock along an eroded area such as this help to stabilize the stream bed and prevent further erosion. The City offers its residents two free loads of riprap per parcel through its Riprap Program. Please contact the Public Works Department at 678-382-6862 for more information.
