a phone call would have saved the reporting party the time to post this report Kevin :)
funny how those not in the know report stuff that wastes time isn't it.
You can call this office at 874-8910. We're here from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
I did have an email conversation with one local business owner about this issue, including the idling. What I told them was that the idling people are reporting was actually generators on board the buses, necessary to run A/C or refrigeration on the bus. This is allowed, as opposed to buses running their main engine for extended periods, which is not.
In addition to what Keady said the on bord generators also provide 110 VAC power to the electronics on the bus aka tv's microwaves etc.
most of them are very quiet generators.
Thanks again for the info to help this person out Kready.

These buses are not parked illegally. They have City-issued permits to park there. They should be gone by the end of the day today.
Thank you for the information.
