Description
City Water is the worst utility in our area. We pay A LOT for terrible water that is so full of chemicals you can't drink it. It smells terrible, Kills my fish, It's $50 filters for my fridge water dispenser and tastes so terrible we buy bottled water, my new dishwater is no good because the water is so hard it leaves stains on dishes, countertops and appliances, and the water pressure is absolutely AWEFUL!!

WR Staff met with customer and reported the following:
1. The smell/odor issue was from the P-Traps in their sink drains & not the water. Advised them on how to eliminate
2. Customer did not know that tropical fish cannot tolerate our water since the primary disinfectant is chloramines. Advised them of this and suggested they check with their tropical fish supplier for items which neutralizes chloramines in the water.
3. Fridge water filters, advised them to replace these type filters more frequently since we have hard water.
4. Dishwasher stains & issues, advised resident to check the dishwasher manufacturers’ required settings for hard water and set them accordingly. Also, they may wish to change their dishwashing detergent to one that works better in a hard water environment.
5. Water Pressure, found customer had good pressure (63 PSI) at their meter & front hose spigot. They have private plumbing low pressure issues with a bathroom shower head & their back garden hose spigot.
6. Water Quality, advised customer that our water meets or exceeds all federal, state, & local regulations. Gave them our CCR Water Quality pamphlet which explains water quality for them.
