We have a huge rat colony in tbe courtyard of 1615 Kenyon St NW, I look out and see a dozen rats at a time scurrying around.
One reason is clearly the unsecured dumpsters behind the El Progresso supermarket providing them with lots of food. Possibly also ones belonging to the 7-11 and Beau Thai.
I think they should be required to use solid metal box dumpsters instead of the ones with floppy plastic lids.
We are also getting rats coming inside our apartment building now.
Our property manager has been contacting DC about this, but so far nothing has been done.
