Description
The foliage on the corner makes this a blind intersection for drivers traveling along Laurel Hills. Drivers turning right onto Galax can't see if there are any cars or pedestrians on Galax unless they're right at the intersection. Visibility from Galax onto Laurel Hills is fine if you're stopped at the stop sign, but drivers on Galax are blind as they approach the intersection. The speed limit on both Laurel Hills and Galax is 35 mph, so drivers take the turn faster than the visibility allows. Removing the mid-height foliage would do a lot to help this intersection so everyone can see cars and pedestrians in the vicinity of the intersection.
