This is the Bank and Park Street intersection. Yes, it is extremely dangerous and someone will be killed. Every city official should have to cross this daily until it is fixed. Public Works has been called about this and said, "You have to push the button." When it became clear that we actually do push the button and walk in the cross walk when the hand signal to cross is on and the green light is on for drivers to take a right turn through a pedestrian the Attleboro Public Works official said, "That's the way they do it in Providence and Pawtucket." City of Attleboro officials please walk back and forth on that cross walk.

Lance Hill is fielding the calls at Attleboro Public Works. This will remain a land mine for pedestrians and the city is fully aware that a few pedestrians may be hit by cars. At that point, maybe the city will fix it.

This is the intersection that a gentleman was kill at within the last 18 months.

Thank you for the feedback and input. We have added signage at the intersection for vehicles to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. We have also added signs on the pedestrian crosswalk buttons to clarify the direction of pedestrian travel.
