Descripción
There is a large big leaf maple next to the road that has been dying for several years and is now almost dead. There are utility lines going through the middle of it, there are power lines directly across the street and our driveway as well as the driveway of the apt building next door are below it...which could all be damaged if it came down in a storm. It looks like the tree should be removed before the winter weather. It's location is on NE 195th between 12th ave ne & 14th ave ne.

If by "private tree" you mean it is on private property...that is incorrect. We had the property surveyed several years ago when we had a fence built and it is outside...next to the street and tangled in utility lines that run parallel to the street.
Please send someone to look at it who knows about the rights-of-way in this area.

Could you pleaes provide us with a copy of the survey. The tree was measured and it was determined that the tree was right on the property line.

They put a nail in the NE corner and two line stakes along the north line of our property. These stakes are still there and measure 25' from the edge of the paved road. The tree measures about 19' from the road and is directly in line with the utility poles.

The tree has een referred to our Parks Maintenance for evaluation and removal. The contract for tree removals are in negotiation.
