3626 hageman 5ft by 4ft pothole. There is a 12 inch mound be hind my perspective model. There is evidence that cars have been scraping the pavement upon entry to the drive way. This pothole is likely to cause serious damage to vehicles.

The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request #665263. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

I am adding to this issue because I received notice that my issue for this same item was closed. I am not sure about the status of this item but by comparing fotos you can see rapidly decreasing depression while one side of the rim is increasing which had created a hump on the side of the depression closest to the driveway. There are scrape marks on the top of the hump indicating that cars are scraping across the top. The mound is that high.

Please keep posting sometimes the have to shamed into doing there jobs. You also should contact the call center and ask why it was closed. These large craters are dangerous.

I already did. It doesn't seem closed in scf so I am hopeful. I have had good experiences with OPW responsiveness in items if this magnitude so I am still hopeful that I will not have to resort to negative tactics. Some employees are very responsive. Some will copy you when an issue is forwarded to other responsable parties to keep you in the loop. I don't live on this street but it is so bad I have taken an interest in getting it resolved. The people who live around it are very frustrated by the City's lack of response. I have spoken to a couple of people. Comparing the picture from January to the one I posted recently, I can understand why.

I drove by this morning. It has not been fixed. OPW, please explain why this issue was closed. I am not sure if I have made it clear that the pothole is not only a depression but one side is raising creating a volcano like crater. Please address.
