Actually, the No Thru traffic is needed. Without it drivers will cut thru Coldstream Dr in the morning and traffic back up past Glenbonnie Dr. This is a residential street and having drivers cut thru it and speed through the stop sign are dangerous for my family since we like to run in the mornings and there is no side walk. It serves it purpose well since drivers from far away counties cut through to avoid Peeler rd. If you live in Coldstream Dr this sign is greatly needed. Only residents who do not live on this road would have a vested interest in removing it. Also if you are trying to sell your house you might want Coldstream Dr appear like its not a thru traffic but in fact without the sign so many people use it to cut, so please leave the sign. It helps keep my family safe and also fair traffic that should flow through a non residential street traffic street like Peeler.
Let me clarify the original request. A "No Thru Traffic" sign is needed at this intersection. However I have confirmed that such a sign does indeed already exist here (my apologies).
HOWEVER, please note that I requested that a companion sign be placed at the other end of Coldstream (at Tilly Mill Rd). I made request 2637705 (but was deemed a duplicate of 1986720) which is not the case because it is at Coldstream & Tilly Mill Rd.
I am sorry I misread your post! I thought you were trying to remove the sign!
Anyway thanks for claifying and it was my fault I did not understand your message.
I can tell you one other resident wanted to remove the sign as he said it potential buyers prefer not to see signs even though without it iis a cut thru street. The county after analysing said they would not put one in the other side. Maybe they might change their mind. I don't think its as big a problem as the other side though.
With the sign we will hopefully be able to have the Waze and Google Map apps stop routing people on the street as it is not (technically) a legal pathway for a destination that is not within the neighborhood. We'll see what the City says about Coldstream at Tilly Mill.
The City of Dunwoody has received your request for a "No Thru Traffic" sign at Coldstream Dr and Tilly Mill Rd as service request #3911. Currently, we are working on this, please check back for status updates.
In order to eliminate confusion, this request will be marked as a duplicate of the more recent and accurate request that has been made. Thank you for using SeeClickFix!
