Hi Kevin I exchanged voicemails and emails with Chris and was told there is nothing the city can do and I would need to handle the situation. Since the rats are not just specific to my property but also the neighbors plus I am seeing them running across various driveways. I would have hoped and assumed the city could provide some resources and help to alleviate this situation as I'm worried it may become an infestation if it is not addressed.
All areas of the city have seen an increase in rodent, skunk, raccoon and squirrel activity. Please make sure to reduce or eliminate all standing water on your property, ensure all trash stored outside is in a trash barrel with a lid. Check your foundation for access points and yard area for holes. If you find any access point or holes in your yard contact a licensed pest control contractor for service.
