Deskripsyon

Huge dip in the the pavement. This looks like this was once a sink hole that was fixed, but not properly filled. Over the past couple of months its been getting deeper; causing cars to swerve because of the sudden impact or make sudden stops because of how hard it is to see from a distance. Please Fix.

The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request #662892. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

This is NOT a pothole. This shows that the pavement was cut by a contractor or a utility to perform some service. Afterward, the pavement was not properly repaired.

Please report this kind of problem under "Street issue (Other than pothole)" and describe the conditions with or without a photo.

If you read my profile then you would of known what I was saying. At the end of they day they need to fix it and since your reading these and so concerned then create a report and write it the way you want it worded and categorized.

Nothing wrong with the photo and description you posted, but labeling it as "pothole" just gets you the City's boiler-plate message about the "5-Year Paving Plan" and the current lack of funding, etc., etc. No disrespect intended. Just thought you would like to know.
