Oasis Restaurant solid waste hauler is Republic Waste Services. This truck was driven and parked on sidewalks by a customer of Oasis.

I've contacted the owner of B-P trucking and he assures me his driver will not park on this sidewalk again.

This is a chronic 6 year old problem that remains to have approriate measures to prevent vehicles from using the sidewalk for parking from driveways next to 159 Harvard St to 215 Harvard Street. Calling one of the hundreds of drivers illegally using this sidewalk does not solve the problem. The MPD are unable to enforce parking on the sidewalk and have not monitored the situation, reported to the MPD without suffecient results by residents who would like to have a safe sidewalk upon which to traverse their neighborhood.
In order to get to South Medford Business DIstrict, residents are compelled to either drive to the dedsired shop, or cross Harvard Street, riff with speeding trailer trucks, to get to even side of the street, where sidewalks are often blocked

You reported a B-P trash truck on the sidewalk and I resolved that issue. As for the greater issue I'm now working with the owner of Oasis, the trash company and the abutters solve it in the most prudent way possible. Ann, you've done great work in getting some portions of this problem resolved. But, the bollards and flower pots have created some unintended consequences that we must resolve. I'm going to close this string again as we already have several strings on this same issue open.

sacraficing quality of life to accomadate a trash company by over riding a 7AM work start is a violation of common sense. Has nothing to do with trucks or other vehicles parking on the Harvard St sidewalk from driveways of 159 to 215
