This parking lot has a number of cars, trucks, skidoos and trailers. There are 4 more skidoos that are found on the other side of the street near the fire hydrant. This photo was taken at 10am on a Sunday morning. Given the time of day and nature of vehicles parked here, it is clear that it is being used as an additional parking lot and storage area for Copper Sky residents. It just seems to be growing as more and more items are showing up in this area. Other city residents are required to pay for their storage of cars or recreational vehicles. The apparent free use of this location for storage also interferes with other residents being able to find a parking spot to use the trails / green space at Tin Can Hill. I'd like the City to deal with this situation. Create a dedicated public parking lot for day users (enforce this) and also create a designated storage / overflow parking lot for Copper Sky (and charge appropriately for this use of City land). There is room there for both here but it needs some clear parameters for use please! If I don't see an improvement I will be inquiring about city policy for approved use of this tract of land. Thanks.
