So if the cabs are parking in the bike lane and not getting ticketed, does that mean cyclists can have picnics in the "regular" traffic lanes here? Fair is fair, right?
Honestly, I think we should organize a boatload of cyclists to do a sit in to promote enforcement of existing laws for bicycle and pedestrian safety, how about it?!
I'm not sure a sit in is effective. I liked San Francisco's tactic of having all cyclists come to a complete stop at a stop sign, it proved their point quite well. Here I think the concern is more that other drivers are disrespecting cyclists and pedestrians, and the City is negligent in enforcing this behavior properly. Honestly I think the better solution is to start filming *EVERYTHING* and sending it all to the City.
I've tried talking to CPD, to City Counselors, and I've even attempted Traffic & Parking, but no one seems to care. It's sad, you'd think a city that's so focused on limiting climate change would actually, you know, care about carbon emissions.
So who's responsibility is this? Basically, I want to know who I should be calling *every* *single* *time* I see this. I've tried posting here but it seems to be shunted away and ignored, so I'll just start calling someone instead. I just want to make sure I'm not annoying the wrong person. Thanks!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This particularly area is one that we regularly enforce between our Hackney Officers and our Traffic Enforcement Unit. While officers are not permanently positioned in that area, they are regularly deployed and frequently survey that location.
However, by reporting issues on SeeClickFix, we have better data to analyze and determine where and when to most appropriately deploy our officers for enforcement, so your information is appreciated.

So is this an issue for CPD or T&P? Here's basically the same issue, but tagged to CPD instead of T&P:
