I have called several times about this issue before including when they had this crossing destroyed for 4 weeks in 2010. My business was cut off from traffic in one direction making it difficult for clients to get to my location. CSX never returned one phone call, nor did they respond to one email. That's how much response I've gotten from them on this crossing.

CSX has sent a letter saying they are looking into the issue but have made no efforts to start repairs at this time. There have been crews around this crossing parking equipment used to make rail repairs on the lines but none of the crews i've spoken with are aware of a plan to work on this crossing as of yet.

No work has been done on this crossing. I had heard from CSX that it was planned for maintenance in July but i've not seen nor heard any more about it yet.

Work is supposed to be done the week of July 4th. Today is July 1 and no work has been done as of 5:30pm today.

Bob, I think the key word in your missive is the "week" of July 1.

As we have been told by CSX today (always subject to change with the RR) is that they will close Ames street on Friday or Saturday for up to 5 days to fully rebuild the crossing and siding into the lumber yard, reducing the steep offset between the two tracks and providing a more level crossing.

The crossing has been reopened with the repairs having made the crossing much better for traffic.
