I live in a nice neighborhood in Seminole, between the county's Water Tower Park and Seminole City Park.
The road in front of my home is a two lanes, and not very long, it ends at an old oak tree and a split where the road goes to the left around the park , and to the right, Ridge Road, every day, that little road becomes congested with drivers using it as a"shortcut" because they don't want to wait at the light at the intersection of Park Blvd and 113th St. I am sure that some drivers are going to homes behind the park, but not a lot of the them.
It wouldn't be so bad, except that many of the drivers fail to adhere to the speed limit of 25 mph. This makes the traffic loud, and annoying, I been here for almost thirteen years and it is just getting worse. To make matters worse the Seminole Fire and Rescue also use the road.
I am aware that it is a county road, but can't the county look at the traffic signal and perhaps use the left lane as a turn lane too during peak traffic hours! In north bound 113 th street!
In the future…Do not submit a report under “Post to Neighbors” with the expectation that the county/city will receive and fix the problem. Reports filed under “Post to Neighbors” do not route directly to the county/city.
Thank you for your prompt reply, however, Your reply indicates that you are now aware of the problem, but did not indicate how or if there is a potential solution.
Please advise me as to how to get some sort of action to this situation. Either by monitoring speeds , or is there a plan to put in speed bumps.. Etc.
Thank you,
Jean Manuszak
