He's still rockin' the climbing gym . . . maybe he's only "disabled" because he can't do anything more than a "5.10d"

Hey, guess who's climbing the big walls and rockin' a handicapped sticker, still . . .

Finally, a few days ago I am standing outside the gym, with a friend, who is also aware of, mr. porsche" and who should show up and zip into the disabled spot, but yours truly . . . so as he jumped out of the car, I asked him,

"so what exactly is your disability?"

"I've had three back surgeries"

(and I didn't think to ask if they were all related to maybe having a mole removed)

and both myself and my friend, look at him, incredulous . . .

"yeah, I feel bad about it, but who else parks here?"

He had me there––we just don't get too many disabled people at the gym––usually we'll have some seniors maybe that come to watch the grand kids, but . . . meanwhile, guys like this, get to play the system––the "one percent" driving around in Porsches, who don't have to pay for parking.

So here's a picture of our disabled porsche driver, climbing an "11c" I believe . . . he's the guy on the left, resting, but you can see that the route is overhanging and his disability is nowhere in sight . . . but his car is parked in the "disabled zone" . . .

I don't think anyone other than SF311 pays any attention to this site

The Joke is that there must be no one reading this post . . . my man has not only, supposedly bought a newer, faster porsche, but he's still climbing some gnarly over-hanging 5-11's and there's not a sign of any "disability, whatsoever . . . and yet he still has a placard . . . and he parks there because "why not, no one else uses it (and gets park for free!!!!)

Funny enough, I found this guy parked in my n'hood yesterday, no placard in the window---so my hunch is he only uses it when he needs it for his convenience, like at the gym.

This frustrates me to read about. Those disabled parking spots and placards are desperately needed by people with actual disabilities! I don't believe that someone who is able-bodied enough to climb at Planet Granite qualifies. I'll bet this guy whips out his placard anytime he can't find parking, while someone who walks with pain or requires a wheelchair can't find parking close to where they're trying to go because the spot is taken up by this guy. Please, SFPD, do something!

If you're bored and live in SF, drop by planet granite ( the climbing gym. ) as this winner of a guy is always there, climbing, with his car parked in the handicapped spots . . . he claims he's had back injuries . . . I think he just managed to get a placard because he had a wart removed––something really dumb. HE is most definitely NOT DISABLED.

This will stay open well into 2015 or when "people behaving badly" comes to confront the guy ( since neither the park police or the placard issuers care to check him out) since he is still rock climbing at the GYM and doing climbs much harder than I can . . . overhanging lead climbs. tough stuff and yet this guy has his spotless porsche parked in the handicap zone a few times (mornings 9-noon usually) proudly displaying his placard. I've decided that he is probably a doctor of some sort and has issued himself a placard, OR he knows a dermatologist who gave him the placard for a painful zit on his @#$%.

this is still my favorite unsolved cause . . . the guy walks fine, does some big climbs, shows NO sign of needing a placard, but gets to park his revolving garage of porche and mercedes in the handicapped lot. I don't think he has an injury . . . I think he has a doctor who is a good friend.

I have his license plater and placard number of anyone cares to bother, do their job.

Thanks, the problem with this guy isn't for a lack of permit---it's flaunting and abusing the fact that he doesn't need one, isn't injured ( very capable climber/ walker) and my suspicion is, just know someome that issues him a permit---maybe even himself.

It appears my "disabled climber" has moved on. Issue closed.
