Thank you for checking on this. I went ahead and submitted it to AT&T earlier today. I also submitted all of the graffiti on the AT&T utility boxes to them as well.
For future reference, is it my responsibility as a citizen to report downed wires to AT&T, or is there someone within the City of Alameda or Alameda Municipal Power that has this as a part of their job description? I don't mind doing it; however, I don't want to anyone to say that I'm taking away their work, or that I am circumventing their efforts to track these issues.
Thanks for your comments. Any Wire down or in a tree should be reported to either. 911 or the Alameda Power emergency number. If it is known that the wire is cable or AT and T then report it to that entity. Click fix should only be used for NON EMERGENCY or items that are not or can be a threat to safety. In most cases, 99.9 - all wire related issues are reported to APD/ AFD and Or the AMP Emergency 24 hr number, Thanks again for taking the time to check into this. - AMP Real time control center Operations..
Today I walked past a couple more downed cable or telephone wires, but I have not reported them yet, because a person at Alameda Municipal Power that apparently wishes to remain anonymous, will not allow me to report them to Public Works, nor to Alameda Municipal Power.
Can you tell me who within the City of Alameda has it in their job description to report downed AT&T and Comcast wires?
