The machine that makes the compost is down and we are trying to get parts to get it running. The machine is around 30 years old and parts are sometimes hard to come by. We're doing our best, but you have to remember compost is not an essential service. It is something that Kearny has provided in the past that most other municipalities don't. My guess is we will not have the machine running in time for planting season this year, so plan accordingly.

I wouldn't use that compost to bury a dead animal, amazing what cheap people will do to save a buck.
