Description
Traffic pattern is not working at the intersection of Lowell St and Medford St during rush hour. Cars leaving Lowell street consistently block intersection causing poor traffic flow down Medford St (towards Broadway). Cars flowing in the main artery (Medford St) should be given priority to avoid huge backups and cars that block the intersection should be ticketed.

I agree about the light's timing. The timing of the light is such that the only way Lowell drivers can proceed is to gridlock. That said, there might be the inverse problem if the timing is changed: drivers from Broadway or Medford at the Magoun square light might have to back up into *that* intersection if the Lowell light is red when it's green at Magoun.
Anyway, it deserves attention from the experts. Come any weekday around 6 pm and you'll see the problem again and again.
