I bike this curve twice a day and always worry that I cannot see sufficiently far enough ahead, especially because bikes coming down the hill will be going relatively fast. Trimming the bushes back to reveal the full width of the path might be enough.
I don't understand where this is. The picture and pin/address on the map don't agree. Is this really at the corner of South and Stokes? Is the picture you submitted taken on the greenway between Western Blvd and the prison just west of the tracks facing East?
I didn't upload the picture, but I recognize it clearly as the greenway along Western Blvd and Dorothea Drive that goes right along the prison from Cabarus street. I think the map location is clearly off.
The location is immediately W of the RR trestle, about 1/3 of the way to Hunt Dr. The hollies should be entirely removed at the green-way bend, over a distance of about 50 feet. They will only continue rapidly to overgrow the "fence" and green-way and amount to a violation of regulations against encroaching overgrowth from one property onto another.
PS, I myself have been nearly run down there by bicyclists and have seen bike accidents barely averted by steering off into the grass. Not only is there not enough of a view, there's not enough space -- all because of the overgrowth.
PPS, you can see it on the map. The greenway bend (in dark grey) where the hollies should be removed (for 50' at minimum) is about half way between the RR trestle and Hunt Dr.
