Sharraxaadda

There are 2 lanes going west bound on 8 Mile Rd. The Left lane is almost always stopped to turn left. This forces cars to jump out into the Right lane to get around them. The 2 lanes drops down to 1 immediately after the intersection, so all the traffic going around the left turning cars have to jump back into the left lane. Whenever a car actually goes straight through the left lane it almost gets hit by cars merging (not looking).

I think the problems at this intersection can be alleviated by making the left lane a turn only lane. Then making the right lane a straight or right turn lane.
