FYI. This issue would have been better routed by calling into our zoning department. Staff must observe this to write a violation of the ordinance. There are limited staff to enforce these items and the chances of a staff person getting out there today are limited. Staff will come out but if the car is no longer there they cannot issue a violation. Next time this is observed please call 919-996-2475.

Can you please let the Raleigh Police Department know about this protocol? I called them first, and the officer said he couldn't ticket the car. If he had told me to call the Zoning Dept., I certainly would have done so. We've been told by the inspectors to document illegal activity, like parking on a front yard, and I had no idea that photographic evidence was not enough to issue a citation. Can you at least use the photo to send a letter to the landlord to tell him about the regulations?

The front yard parking violation has been corrected. I am closing the case for this address.
