Deskripsyon
I don't know if this is the appropriate venue for this request but seeing the very productive conversation about the rotary at High and Winthrop Streets is making me take a chance. I'm posting about the intersection at 16 and Boston Avenue to ask if a green turn arrow can be added to these lights. Making a left turn (in any of the four directions) is incredibly dangerous. If lights had an extended green arrow at the beginning and the end of each cycle (for the two different sides of traffic), it seems this would serve to flush out the backed-up traffic and allow people to make a safe left turn. The only way to turn left now is by getting into the middle of the intersection and try to see around the opposite car also in the middle of the intersection, then go immediately in front of an oncoming car or to turn left after the light turns red. I'm guessing this is a city and state intersection and that this adds a layer of complexity to the problem, but I would love to see this addressed.
