This has been an ongoing issue forever. I lost my vehicle here in the late 90's along with several others that evening. Good luck seeing a change.

The storm sewer mains in the area will be inspected by camera to ensure there are no blockages or failures with the underground piping. Once we assess the condition we will provide an update.

Also, please report this issue in real time when it occurs to the Water Department at 434-5322 so we can secure the area to prevent anyone from driving through the water. We will also be better able to investigate the cause of the flooding while it is occurring. Thank you.

I think something that greatly contributes to this issue is the extreme runoff from the church parking lot. There's is a paved chute onto Daytona that the water runs down from the parking lot. I have taken a video in the past of it gushing down from the parking lot into the street. I'm not sure if it's possible but if the parking lot had a few drains put in I think it might help alleviate the flooding.
