Description

Currently, the walk light only comes on if someone pushes the walk button. This is a very busy intersection with people from the hospital and people new to the area who may not be aware that it is NOT an automatic walk signal. I cross this street on my way to and from work every day at the busiest times of the day. There are always people trying to cross the street against the light because they either didn't know they needed to press the button or they thought someone else in the crowd already pressed it. I completely understand that it should not be an automatic walk signal in the later evening and overnight when there are no pedestrians, but in the busiest part of the day (7:00am - 7:00pm), can the walk signal be changed so that it changes to Walk without having the push the button?
